You sleep on raised platforms elevated at some 12 feet under the inspiring
blanket of the African night sky - true star platforms.
All mobile tents have their own toilet and shower attached to the platform
and sheltered from any unwanted visitors.
Dining al fresco under the stars in the middle of one of Africa's last
untamed wilderness regions is an experience never to be forgotten. The
night chorus of the bush seems incredibly close and as you drift off to
sleep it is easy to imagine that you are back in the days of the earliest
explorers.

Guided foot safaris from your mobile camp offer a truly personal Selous
experience with maximum group sizes of 4.
The camp is based in the remote North-West of the reserve, in an area
which is rich in wildlife, but empty of any other human intrusion.
The areas around both our favoured fly camp spots are known for their
elephant activity, the birdlife is fantastic, and predators include lions,
wild dogs, leopards, and the very rare Selous cheetah.
With very few roads of any description in the area, it is excellent for
walking, and we specialise in foot safaris from the mobile camps.
It is the perfect base for exploring on foot what is one of the most exclusive
and remote areas of the Selous Game Reserve. Our guides are of the highest
calibre, and usually Tanzanian. As such, they are not just extremely knowledgeable,
but interact with the environment in a very special way.
Rates: Fly camp including full board tented accommodation,
park fees and guided safaris, costs $595p.p./day
